| Annick Massis |
Annick Massis studied at the Conservatoire Francis Poulenc in Paris, where she obtained the First Prize for Singing. She made her operatic debut in Toulouse in 1991. In 1994 she made her debut at the Opéra National de Paris (Bastille) with Le Nozze di Figaro. Her approach to the belcanto repertoire signed the beginning of her international career: - la Comtesse in Rossini’s Comte Ory, in which she gained a great success in Paris (Opéra Comique), as well as at the Glyndebourne Festival in 1997 and 1998 in a new production staged by Jerome Savary and conducted by Andrew Davis, at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, at the Corum in Montpellier under Alberto Zedda (March 1999) and at the Capitole in Toulouse in March 2001. For Opera Rara she has recorded the title role in Meyerbeer’s Margherita d’Anjou.
