| Dominic Natoli |
Dominic Natoli began singing as a soloist with the Australian Boys’ Choir. He later studied with renowned Italian Baritone Afro Poli in his native Australia, as well as in London and Vienna, where he obtained a first class honours Diploma of Opera. He also holds Degrees in Law and Economics. He has received numerous awards including first prize in the Alfredo Kraus International Singing Competition; an Arts Fellowship from the Queensland Government; and he has twice been the recipient of the Dame Joan Sutherland Scholarship. He has appeared with numerous opera companies in UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Austria, Ireland, the U.S.A and Australasia, including English National Opera, Danish Royal Opera, Opera Autralia, performing a wide variety of repertoire including Tamino, Don Ottavio, Idomeneo, the Steuermann, Ismael, Don Josè, Ernesto, Nemorino, Alfred, Loge, Alvaro, Alfredo, Riccardo, Rodolfo, Des Grieux, and Cavaradossi, Rodolfo, Calaf, the Verdi Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Handel’s Joshua and Messiah. He appears on many recordings for Vienna Modern Masters, BBC, ABC, Chandos and Opera Rara. Activities for 2006/7 include Alvaro in La Forza del Destino in Hagen, Germany, Turiddu and Ismaele (Nabucco) in Denmark, Dream of Gerontius in Westminster Abbey, London and Alfredo in La traviata in Metz, France.
